Kuuk’s origin started long before its conception in early 2024. It began in a remote region of Northwest Alaska, in a place known by the Inupiat as “Kikiktagruk” or “almost an island”, the town of Kotzebue. Our story meanders down through the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta and into Alaska’s interior.

Kuuk was formed by a group of friends who have traversed Alaska from the northernmost reaches to the Aleutian chain and across Southcentral to Southeast. Their collective experiences, from enduring harsh winters on oil rigs to spending summers on fishing vessels, have instilled a profound appreciation for Alaska's unique people, cultures, and environments.
